How a build runs
We meet on site
An hour at the house or the block. We look at what is there, listen to what you want and talk honestly about cost.
Drawings and a fixed price
From the drawings we prepare a detailed price, item by item, and a build programme with dates.
The build
Your supervisor runs the site and sends you a short update every Friday, with photographs.
Handover and after
We walk through the finished house with you, fix anything on the list and come back at three months to check again.
Tom and his team restored our Queenslander and built underneath it. They kept us informed every Friday, the price did not move, and the finish…

Questions people ask
Do you give fixed prices?
Yes. Once there are drawings we price the job item by item and the contract is a fixed price. If you change something, or we find something hidden in an old house, you see the cost in writing before we go on.
How long does a renovation take?
Most of our renovations take between four and eight months on site, after drawings and approvals. We give you a programme with dates before the contract is signed.
Can we live in the house during the work?
Often for part of it. We plan the order of work so the kitchen or a bathroom stays usable for as long as possible, and we tell you in advance about the weeks you will need to be out.
Do you work with our architect?
Yes, about half of our new homes and extensions are drawn by the owner's own architect. We are happy to price from their drawings and to talk to them early.
